Currency Exchange:

Although not part of the EU many prices are nonetheless indicated in Euros and some merchants may accept Euros. There are currency exchange facilities at all major airports and most hotels. There may be a small charge for cashing in Travellers Cheques.

Credit Cards:

Visa, MasterCard and American Express are widely accepted and ATMs are widespread; many are equipped with the Cirrus or Maestro system.

The most commonly accepted credit cards in Switzerland are American Express, Master Card and Visa. These cards can be used in Switzerland at ATMs, various retail outlets and most hotels.

Banks in Switzerland have ATMs which can be accessed 24 hours a day. Cards can be used in Switzerland at both ATMs and at most retail locations, as long as they have been enabled for international access.
