exchange of foreign currency in Saudi Arabia
is quite straightforward and can be done
at any bank or any money changer. Money
changers generally stay open longer but
do not offer as competitive rates. Travelers
Cheques are much harder to change but if
you take travelers cheques it is advisable
to take them in Euros, Pound Sterling or
Dollars and to carry the purchase recipt
with you.

Express, Diners club, Mastercard and VISA
are all widely acceptable in Saudi Arabia,
however it is advisable to check with your
bank for merchant acceptibility and other
services before you leave.

The banking hours in Saudi Arabia are Sat-Wed
0830-1200 and 1700-1900; Thurs 0830-1200.
