of villages and most have cash machines
that can be used 24 hours a day. travellers
cheques are also accepted by all banks and
most hotels.

cards are widely used in Iceland for purchases
and cash advances. It is best to check with
your issuing bank before you travel to find
out if there is merchant availability in
Iceland.
